There is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only are this man's lawful prey.
It is unwise to pay too little.
When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done.
If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is wise to add something for the risk you run. And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better.

When I was growing up, I was told if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. And I have told my children the same thing.
Remodeling is no different, if it sounds too good to be true...
So be a smart consumer and please understand, if you get a price from a reputable Remodeler, based on a certain set of specifications, you can not get the same work done the same way, for 20-30-40% less. Its not going to happen any more than you can buy groceries for 30% less and take home the same quality and quantity.
