Woman With A Dream
Gold Award Winner
A small galley kitchen from decades in the past with a 7′ ceiling , meets a woman with a DREAM. She had been told the ceiling couldn’t be raised because of the pipes in the ceiling. We raised the pipes, the wiring and installed a duct for the new hood. Opened up the kitchen to the rest of the home with lots of help from great trade partners and a client with a vision.

Those columns are not simply decorative, they support the main beam for the second floor, after we removed the walls to open up the kitchen. And they serve as a chase to get electricity into the island inside one column and the gas line for the cooktop inside the other column.
Now a family of five can gather to work, eat and play together in a family friendly kitchen open to the rest of the home.
“Remarkably, we had a functional kitchen within a week’s time. You also took great care to minimize “dust” intrusion to the remaining parts of the house.”
